Larkhall U14s vs Mere U14s (AWAY) on 14 March 2009

Hi everyone,

Tomorrow’s game with Mere is ON. It is a 10.30am kick-off at their gound. 7 a-side, 30 mins each way.

It will take us around an hour to get there, so we will need to leave Bath at 09.00 am. Because we need to travel towards Frome to get to Mere, I propose that we meet on the Waminster Road in Bath at 09.00am - NOT at Alice Park as we have in the past. Let’s meet just up the road from the MOD offices, opposite Minster Way on the Warminster Road.

Directions to Mere’s ground are available here. Please print these and bring them with you in case any cars in the convoy get separated. An overview map can be viewed by clicking here.

If you plan to go direct to Mere’s ground and not meet on the Waminster Road, that’s fine, but please call or text me - today - to let me know. Thank you.

LIFTS:
Please note, that while I can give some boys a lift to Mere - if  parents/carers are happy for me to do so -  I CANNOT GIVE ANYONE A LIFT BACK TO BATH after the game. This is because I have to go straight to Trowbridge after the U14s’ game to manage our U15s Girls team in a game they have, kicking off at 2.00pm. Therefore would parents/carers please do all they can to arrange to get their own children to and from the game.

If it  is impossible (rather than inconvenient!) for any parent/carer to get their son to or from the game, please call me ASAP today and I will endeavour to arrange a lift with another parent/carer, with everyone’s approval.

My mobile number is 07833133031.

BOYS:
Please make sure that you bring shinpads to the game tomorrow. Please also bring plenty of still (not fizzy) drinks and plenty of warm, dry clothing.

Best  wishes,

Tony

U14s’ game vs. FC Chippenham on 22 February is OFF

Hi everyone,

I’m sorry, the game that was planned for this Sunday can’t now go ahead.

It seems that there is not a suitable pitch available for us either at Lansdown or in Chippenham and, in any case, it seems that we would not have had enough players available to field a team.

It’s a shame, as I know some of the boys were looking forward to the game, as I was. However, the other two games we have on the calendar - which I have told players and their parents/carers about separately - should still go ahead and we will hopefully be able to rearrange the game with FC Chippenham.

Training as usual next Tuesday at St Marks. The following week it may move to Monday (i.e. 2 March). I should be able to advise players about this next Tuesday.

Have a nice weekend.

Tony Day, U14s Coach
