I’m delighted to announce that the Eagles have won the Mid Wilts league’s Fair Play award for the 08/09 season. This records not only our exemplary disciplinary record, but also a vote by all the other managers we have played against who rated us (players, parents and officials) as the most fair and sporting opponents they faced.

This is obviously an achievement that even one unfortunate incident could have jeopardised, and so the entire squad deserve congratulations on a flawless season.

There is a medal award ceremony, and a game against the runner-up team (Chippenham) at Corsham’s Leafy Lane ground  from 12:30 on Sunday.
