The kestrels turned in a solid performance at the weekend to beat mid table castle combe 14-2 and consolidate their lead at the top of the table.After exchanging an early goal apiece the kestrels gradually began to get on top. Playing a 4-5-1 formation with Jordan away Daniel was asked to play up front on his own, a job he did a fantastically well holding the ball up superbly and chipping in with 4 goals.With Charlie dropping deeper in midfield to cut out any threat of through balls to the dangerous castle combe number 10, the defence were not unduly worked and the odd threat was efficiently dealt with by our two centre backs Adam and Lewis W.Joe on the left and lewis r on the right were proving constant threats enjoying endless freedom with our two full backs Mathew and jaiden pushing up from the back at every opportunity, by half time the kestrels had scored another 5 goals to lead 6-1.

After the half time team talk the Kestrels came out and immediately upped the tempo by playing some lovely football moving the ball at pace and switching play cleverly.With harry and man of the match theo winning all the tackles and dictating play from midfield Harley replaced Charlie with the formation reverting to 4-4-2 and was soon on the score sheet with a fine shot from outside the box. Further goals came at regular intervals with Castle Combe also adding to their earlier strike.
